One of our most frequently asked questions is: Once I land at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) how do I find my chauffeur?
Unless other arrangements have been made, your chauffeur will be waiting for you as you exit the secured area and enter baggage claim. He or she will be holding a sign with your last name. From that point the chauffeur will accompany you to baggage claim, help you retrieve your luggage and escort you to the parking structure to your town car or SUV.
All Excelsior Limousine airport pick-ups are “meet and greet” unless other arrangements have been made. Meet and greet service means the chauffeur has parked and entered the terminal to meet you at baggage claim.
If you have arranged for a curbside pick-up at LAX, your chauffeur will be waiting in a holding lot until you call and say you are ready to be picked up. It could take from one to fifteen minutes for your car to arrive—depending on airport traffic. It’s important to remember to call your chauffeur when you are physically at or very near the curb. Our chauffeurs cannot wait for passengers, and will be forced to circle around the airport again, which may delay your pick up.
FYI: Here’s a trick to letting your chauffeur know where you are standing if you have arranged for a curbside pick up. At LAX, outside of baggage claim, there are numbered concrete pillars. Just give your chauffeur that number and he or she will find you.
For your peace of mind we have a text notification system. You’ll get a text letting you know your chauffeur is on location.
At Excelsior Limousine we strive to make your LAX pick up as easy and seamless as possible. Have suggestions or comments? Let us know.
