Valley peeps rejoice. We now have our very own Grove. After seemingly endless months of construction adding to the traffic congestion on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, the new Village at Westfield Topanga is finally open. It’s as impressive as a “lifestyle concept” of a shopping mall might seem.

It spans 30 acres in the ritzy Woodland Hills/Warner Center area. It offers multiple eateries, a gigantic 24 Hour Fitness, a Costco, outdoor lounging areas (complete with doggie treats) and play areas.

Options for kids include a birthday party celebration area, a bocce ball court, and netted, tiered climbing petals for kids. You’ll know what that means when you go see it.

Need beauty services? The Village at Westfield Topanga delivers with places to get a hair cut, eyebrows shaped, your hair blown out, and your teeth whitened. You can also get a massage after working out at the 24 Hour Fitness or taking one of the outdoor yoga classes–or handling all of those bulk buys at Costco.

Shopping is, as expected, mostly specialty boutiques and shoppes. Pick up a kitchen gadget that you absolutely didn’t know you needed until you saw it at Sur Le Table. Want to spurge on your dog?  Pick out individual bakery treats exclusively for pups at the specialty pet store.

An added delight is a Farmers Market that will be open every Sunday.

All in all the Village at Westfield Topanga is pedestrian friendly, pet friendly and family friendly. It’s a must see.
